asina was married with a young child when an infection in her legs led to amputation. Her husband left her to support herself and their child, but nobody would employ her. This is because in Tanzania disabled people are considered almost sub-human, a mistake, a curse says Susie Hart, CMS mission partner in Tanzania.

That’s why she started Neema Crafts to train and employ disabled people and show Tanzanians that all people have value in the sight of God. At Neema Hasina learned to make jewelry, which gave her a source of income. She also received prosthetic legs. Realising he’d be wrong to cast her off, her husband has returned.

Susie Hart is one of the 800 people in mission supported by CMS in 50 countries worldwide, working to share Jesus and change lives.
